Collaborative Proactive Solutions (CPS)

I am currently working towards becoming a Certified CPS Provider. As such, I will be in need of volunteer guardian/child pairs for FREE sessions in September and October of 2022 for children with challenging behaviors at home. These sessions will be overseen by my training supervisor who will be a Certified CPS Provider.

If you are interested in being waitlisted for this free service, please text the phrase “CPS WAITLIST” and your email to (318) 572-0646, and you will be provided with a registration form. Priority will be given to applicants who are searching for alternatives to Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), but all applicants will be considered.

“Collaborative & Proactive Solutions is an evidence-based model of psychosocial treatment originated and developed by Dr. Ross Greene, and described in his books The Explosive Child, Lost at School, Raising Human Beings, and Lost & Found.

Rather than focusing on kids’ challenging behaviors (and modifying them), CPS helps kids and caregivers solve the problems that are causing those behaviors. The problem solving is collaborative (not unilateral) and proactive (not reactive). Research has shown that the model is effective not only at solving problems and improving behavior but also at enhancing skills.”
